This guide has the intentions to get you up to scratch with the game. The guide is fully f2p proof.
In this guide, if the contents have already been created, I'll link a citation towards it, for convenience sake.
Note: The guide will not have picture illustrations, it'll be text heavy.
Table of Contents
{Character Creation}
You can start by picking your favourite character the only actual difference besides appearance and body type (Child / Adult) are :
1 - 3 Bonus Stats
2 - Unique Newbie Skill
The bonus stats are fully washable using forgotten scrolls / Lethe Scrolls(Trade-able), you do not need to worry about them.
Newbie skills are mostly useless, besides the occasional use due to it being Non-Elemental.
Before we go further, let's start by explaining what each stats does.
STR >> Increases ATK
CON >> Increases DEF & HP
INT >> Increases MATK, Seal Chance & Seal Resist
WIS >> Increases MDEF, SP & Seal Resist
AGI >> Increases SPD
We will then go through each and every element presented in the game. There are 4, they are as following :
Fire
Water
Earth
Wind
Besides having different skill-sets, they each possesses different stat per level, as well as different damage values towards elements.
We will start by going through the stats per level. They're as following :
We will then go through the Elemental Damage :
As we can see based on the data presented, Fires are by far the best elemental in the game simply based on Stats. Particularly in the damage department.
Each and every Element in the game has 3 different skill trees. They are :
1 - Physical
2 - Magical
3 - Assistant
Each skills have different stat requirements to achieve, as the name suggests Physical / Magical skills are based on ATK / MATK respectively.
Damaging abilities are either single targeted, or simply AOE (Vertical / Horizontal / T / 6U)
6 U = 6 Units
Physical abilities can't miss. The only conditions are a counter, Stone wall or Vanish (Wind GS).
•Counters are self-explanatory, there's a flat chance that your attacks will be countered, AOE attacks can't be countered.
•Stone wall is a Earth Assist skill, that blocks all physical attacks for 4 Rounds.
•Vanish is a Wind Goddess Skill(GS), that blocks all AOE damage for 3 Rounds.
Magical abilities can miss. The hit chance is affected by the difference between the User and Target's INT value. Just like above, you can be countered.
Assist skills are the support skills, we will categorize them by Buffs and Debuffs for simplicity sake.
Buffs are, abilities that as the name suggest "buffs" a target/user. The common ones are :
There are obviously a couple more, but you get the idea. Debuffs are the opposite of buffing, Seals are in this category as well.
Most notably they are :
There are obviously others like GS(Goddess Skill) / FS(Fairy Skill). But we won't delve too deep into it at this point.
Moving forward, we have the Rebirth System. There's a thread created by Lunaris here's a link towards it :
Thread Link
I'll provide a quick brief explanation. Rebirth is practically a system for you to gain extra levels hence extra stats.
Upon Rebirth, you'll lose 99 of your current level. So the earliest level that Rebirth is possible is level 100.
There are 6 Rebirth classes split into 2 categories in WLO. They are separated based on your STR / INT. To unlock all 6 choices you're required to have an Equal Number of STR / INT.
Str choices are :
1 - Killer (+10% to Base ATK)
2 - Warrior (+10% to Base DEF)
3 - Knight (+10% to Base SPD)
Int choices are :
1 - Wit (+10% to Base MATK)
2 - Priest (+10% to Base MDEF)
3 - Seer (+10% to Base SPD)
Besides the extra stats and levels, there's certain bonuses that aren't as obvious, for instance Knight's have the capability of getting 1/5 of a Riden pet's SPD.
Wind Knight's for instance, even have their Knight capes give BASE SPD x 2.
You'll also get a new Shiny Cape that changes colour based on your character's Eyes, it's a Rank 1 meaning it's unbreakable.
Capes are a special EQ that gives stats that scale based on the level you were PRE RB, the stats is dependant on your Job, Killer = ATK for example.
You can find out more from Lunaris thread linked above.
The biggest factor in deciding a Job, is in the Job Skill(JS) this is due to the fact that not all job skills are made equal, they're can range from mediocre to outright broken.
Killer : Murder | Physical | Does increase damage against elemental weakness(If you're Fire then Water), higher damage against sealed targets(except sleep)
Warrior : Holy Shield | Buff | Single target shield that Reflects MATK for single attack uptill 2k dmg
Knight : Knight's Spirit | Buff | Shield's three allies (1 Line Vertical) negating all Debuffs/Seals for 2 Rounds.
-
Wit : Cuss | Debuff | Damage +50% on target (Ally atk/matk +50%) (Basically if character has 1000 attack, it does damage equals to 1500 attack instead)
Priest : Rest | Debuff | Prevents target from reviving for 4 rounds
Seer : Foretell | Buff | Removes single ally from Seal/Debuff
As we can see certain Job Skills are mediocre, namely Holy Shield(PVP reliant),Rest(Niched), Foretell(Inferior to Knight's Spirit). Foretell is a cleanse that occurs 1 round after target is sealed, which is frankly just worse then Knight's.
There's frankly no right or wrong options, just optimal or suboptimal. It heavily relies on your Character's Build, Intentions, playstyle.
If you want a idea what's good alongside the build intended then here you go:
PP = Potential Pill, it's a pill that gives you bonus stats on all. It goes from 1 level to 12.
+1 PP = +1 stats
+2 PP = +2 stats
+3 PP = +3 stats
+4 PP = +4 stats
+5 PP = +6 stats
+6 PP = +9 stats
+7 PP = +13 stats
+8 PP = +18 stats
+9 PP = +24 stats
+10 PP = +31 stats
+11 PP = +39 stats
+12 PP = +48 stats
Hot Spring = HP / MP + 120, each hot spring gives you 10 MAX HP/MP there's a total of 12, if I state HS, then it simply means +120.
This will likely require explaining, Mage Knight (MK) is basically Knight's that are build towards INT for it's benefits like Sealing/Anti Seal. The issue with this is that Knight is a class that requires STR=INT to achieve, which means you'll have to either
1 - Rebirth early (LVL 100 / 120 / 150)
2 - Add 100 STR / 100 INT then wash STR as time goes by (Allows you to RB at 180, which gives you better CAPE STATS, but takes a long ass time to do)
3 - Buy Lethe Scrolls (Whale option)
Fire :
- Killer | Tier A | Budget = LOW~MID | Difficulty : Beginner | Content clear : ALL
STR : REST
CON : 150 - 220 (Depends heavily on Budget, I suggest 150 then increasing if you need it)
INT : 0
WIS : 42 (If PP12 you can drop it, just ensure you have Mess and enough SP. Rough amount is 1k+)
AGI : 4 (If PP12 you can leave it as "0")
- Mage Knight | Tier S | Budget = High ~ Whale | Difficulty : Experienced | Content Clear : ALL
STR : 0
CON : 200 (Depend on you, you can increase or decrease)
INT : REST
WIS : 42 (If PP12 you can drop)
AGI : 0 to 200 (Really depends on your Gear, as a knight your goal is to hit above 2K SPD, which is not a easy task without much of a budget)
- Wit | Tier A | Budget = LOW~MID | Difficulty : Beginner | Content Clear : ALL
STR : 0
CON : 150 - 220 (Depends on budget, leave at 150 then adjust later)
INT : REST
WIS : 42 (If PP12 you can drop)
AGI : 0 (If you want more SPD just grab PP12 instead, it's not worth to add points here as it won't be significant enough to do anything)

Fire | 1.3 | 1.3 | 0.7 | 1.2 | 1.6 |
Water | 0.9 | 1.4 | 0.9 | 0.5 | 0.9 |

- Water Shield (Water) - Reduces Magical Damage
There are obviously a couple more, but you get the idea. Debuffs are the opposite of buffing, Seals are in this category as well.
Most notably they are :
- Mess Spell (Fire) - Berserk on Target (Really high% chance)
- Freeze (Water) - Freezes 1 >> 2 targets for 2 Turns. Increases damage taken.
- Sleep (Water) - Sleeps T shape for 2 turn. Attacking target wakes target up.
- Terrafication (Earth) - Seals 1 target for 4 Turn. Decreases damage done on target.
- Tree Bind (Earth) - Seals 1 target for 3 Turn.
- Cord (Wind) - Seals 2 target for 1~2 turn. Fires are almost certainly for 1 turn only.
- Coma (Wind) - Seals 1 target for 3 Turn.
There are obviously others like GS(Goddess Skill) / FS(Fairy Skill). But we won't delve too deep into it at this point.
